FICCI Secretary General Highlights Trade, Investment &Technology Opportunities under India-EU FTA

FICCI Secretary General Anant Swarup highlights the significant trade, investment and technology opportunities expected from the India-European Union Free Trade Agreement (India-EU FTA). Speaking during Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal’s official visit to Germany, Swarup says the proposed agreement could create a common market of around two billion people, bringing together India and the European Union. He urges industries on both sides to explore business partnerships, investment opportunities and technology cooperation, while emphasising that Indian businesses must meet European quality standards to fully benefit from the trade pact.
