Sri Lankan parliament to hold online public discussions about laws

Colombo [Sri Lanka], October 13: Sri Lanka's parliament said Wednesday it will hold a series of online discussions where the public can directly ask questions about various bills and laws.
According to a statement it issued Wednesday afternoon, the first of such discussions will be held on Oct. 14 and dedicated to the topic of reforming the justice system, with the participation of WijeyadasaRajapakshe, Minister of Justice, Prison Affairs and Constitutional Reforms.
Attendants can on that day ask questions related to reforming the South Asian country's justice system and constitutional reforms.
The planned online public discussions are organized by the parliament's communication department as part of its efforts to create a people-centric parliament.
