4 killed after boat capsizes in Myanmar

Yangon [Myanmar], July 21: Four people were killed after a boat they were traveling in capsized on a creek in the Bago region of southern Myanmar, local rescue organizations said Thursday.
The boat was carrying 11 people when it sank on a creek near Kywephyuchaung village in Thanatpin Township late Wednesday, local rescuers said.
"The dead people included a young girl and three women," said U Tin SweMyint, chair of the Kalyana Mitta Rescue Organization.
Other people on the boat who could swim survived the deadly accident, a rescuer said.
