US Vice President Vance to travel to Italy and India with family

Washington [US], April 19: US Vice President JD Vance plans to travel to Italy and India with his family from April 18-24, the White House announced on Wednesday.
"The Vice President will discuss shared economic and geopolitical priorities with leaders in each country," the White House statement said. While in Rome, Vance is scheduled to meet with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, on the heels of her visit to the White House on Thursday. He is also to hold talks with the Vatican's Cardinal Secretary of State Pietro Parolin. Vance, a convert to Catholicism, has previously spoken openly about the significance of his faith.
In India, Vance is to hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with additional stops planned in Jaipur and Agra. (DPA)
