US tells its citizens in Oman to shelter in place

Muscat [Oman], March 24: The US embassy in Muscat has issued a shelter in place for Oman, including the capital, due to "ongoing activity".
On March 3, the Department of State had authorised non-emergency US government employees and government employee family members to leave Oman.
Earlier on Monday, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it had launched its 77th wave of strikes targeting Israel and US military bases in the Middle East.
Middle East reaching 'point of no return', says Red Cross
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has called for an immediate halt to the "war on essential infrastructure" in the Middle East. "What we have seen in recent days in the Middle East risks reaching a point of no return," ICRC President Mirjana Spoljaric said, adding that the "potential harm to nuclear facilities" was "most alarming" and could lead to "irreversible consequences".
