Turkish President Erdogan urges revival of Iran-US nuclear talks

Jun 22, 2025

Istanbul [Turkiye], June 22: Turkiye's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has told Iran's foreign minister resuming Iranian-US talks on Tehran's nuclear programme is the only way to achieve a solution to the current fighting.
Erdogan met Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on the sidelines of an Organisation of Islamic Cooperation meeting in Istanbul. His office, in a statement, noted the Turkish leader said Israel had to be "stopped immediately".
Turkiye is ready to play a facilitator role to help resume the nuclear talks, he said, adding "steps should be taken as soon as possible to open up diplomacy via technical and leaders-level talks between Iran and the US". (Agencies)
