Jun 25, 2026

Athens [Greece], June 25: The Board of Peace established by US President Donald Trump is due to meet on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus next week, Cypriot officials said on Wednesday.
The meeting is scheduled for June 30 and July 1, government spokesman Konstantinos Letymbiotis told state broadcaster RIK. He did not disclose who would attend, stressing that Cyprus was not involved in organizing the gathering and was serving only as host.
The Board of Peace was launched by Trump earlier this year with the aim of developing a peace plan for Gaza. Its objectives include rebuilding the territory, disarming the Hamas movement and laying the groundwork for a lasting peace agreement. (DPA)
