May 09, 2026

Hanoi [Vietnam], May 9: Actress Than Thuy Ha said she is not too stressed by rumors surrounding her private life after many years in the entertainment industry.
After more than 30 years in the profession, Than Thuy Ha remains a familiar face on the small screen with many distinctive roles, especially villainous characters . However, the actress says she doesn't want to confine herself to one type of role.
Sharing with us, Than Thuy Ha said that initially she quite liked playing villainous roles because they offered more opportunities to showcase her acting skills and leave a lasting impression on the audience. However, over time, the repetition of similar character types made her want to seek out more novelty in her career.
"Now, if we're talking about my aspirations in acting, besides beautiful, elegant, and villainous roles, I want to try my hand at other types of roles," the actress shared.
According to Than Thuy Ha, what excites her about acting is the opportunity to embody many different types of characters, especially those with complex psychological depth or edgy personalities. She believes this is also a way for actors to reinvent themselves after many years in the arts .
Than Thuy Ha prioritizes roles that are suitable and worth the price.
Besides television, Than Thuy Ha said she still receives many offers to participate in feature films . However, the actress doesn't place much importance on distinguishing between television and film; the most important thing is the quality of the role.
"I'll accept any film offer if I feel the role suits me and the character is interesting. I don't differentiate between television or film," the actress shared.
According to the actress, feature films have specific requirements for character portrayal due to their shorter duration compared to television. However, she believes that without a television environment, it would be difficult for actors to accumulate enough experience to transition to film.
