Sudan Doctors Network condemns death of 10 medics in North Darfur

Omdurman [Sudan], April 13: The Sudan Doctors Network on Saturday condemned the death of 10 medical staff killed within two days during attacks by Rapid Support Forces (RSF) near El Fasher, North Darfur on Friday.
The civic organization said the RSF had killed "10 medical personnel including the director of Um Kadada Hospital in North Darfur State and nine other medical personnel working at the Zamzam camp for the displaced."The network, in a statement, said that "the killing of medical staff threatens the suffering of thousands of patients in North Darfur."At least 100 civilians had been killed in the Zamzam camp for internally displaced persons (IDP) during the attack, the local news agency Al Arabiya reported, citing the director general of the Ministry of Health in North Darfur, Ibrahim Abdullah. A bloody power struggle has been raging in Sudan for almost two years. (DPA)
