Small Kuwait-built rocket explodes during launch

Kuwait City [Kuwait], December 7: The Kuwait Space Rocket team said a small rocket it attempted to launch on Saturday morning exploded shortly after ignition in Jahra Governorate, with no injuries reported.
The rocket, named "Tamouh-3," was approximately 3.2 meters long with a maximum thrust of around 12,000 newtons. It was equipped with GPS devices designed to record coordinates, speed, altitude, acceleration, and other flight data.
According to the team, this was its fourth launch attempt. It said it will investigate the cause of the explosion while continuing its development efforts.
Founded in 2018, the Kuwait Space Rocket team brings together engineers and specialists in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, aiming to contribute to Kuwait's space research and scientific exploration initiatives.
