Damascus [Syria], October 2: At least seven people were killed and four others injured when an armed attack targeted a vehicle carrying employees of the al-Mateen company in western Homs province, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
The vehicle was attacked while crossing a bridge close to the al-Houla area, the observatory said, adding that most of those killed and injured were from the Alawite village of Fahel in Homs. The observatory said the attack directly struck the vehicle carrying engineers and workers. The injured were taken to medical centres and hospitals, while security forces were deployed to the area.
