Russian court fines Apple over refusal to delete banned content

Moscow [Russia], November 6: The Tagansky District Court of Moscow fined Apple Inc. 3.6 million rubles (about 36,800 U.S. dollars) for refusing to delete the information banned in Russia, the court press service said Tuesday.
Apple was found guilty of committing an administrative offense for failing to "remove information when such removal is required by Russian law," the court said in a statement.
Over the past years, major online services such as Apple, Google and Telegram have been repeatedly fined in Russia for failure to remove the content that Russian authorities deemed prohibited.
