Pakistan's military says 32 militants killed in nationwide operations

Islamabad [Pakistan], July 30: Pakistan's military said on Wednesday it had killed 32 militants in nationwide operations amid a rise in attacks targeting security forces in provinces bordering Afghanistan.
"In last 24 hours security forces have successfully eliminated 32 terrorists," the military's media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), said in a statement.
According to the military, 24 militants were killed in the north-western province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while another eight were killed in the southwestern province of Balochistan. Both provinces border Afghanistan and have seen a surge in attacks by the Pakistani Taliban, as well as separatist militants. (DPA)
