NPC launches 'Al Tanmiya' podcast to promote structured community dialogue on NDS3

Feb 18, 2026

Doha [Qatar], February 18: The National Planning Council (NPC) has launched 'Al Tanmiya' (Development) podcast series, a new dialogue-based platform designed to foster ongoing and structured community dialogue on the Third National Development Strategy (NDS3). The platform also aims to highlight key milestones and aspects of the comprehensive national development journey of Qatar.
The launch of the 'Al Tanmiya' podcast is part of the council's ongoing efforts to extend the National Development Forums through a comprehensive dialogue framework. This initiative is based on the principle that development requires more than plans and policies alone; it relies on ongoing community dialogue that bridges the gap between planning and reality, while enhancing understanding of the State's developmental priorities.
Assistant Secretary-General for NPC Affairs Abdulaziz Ahmed Al Fehani stated: "True development is built upon an ongoing dialogue among all members of society, a dialogue that informs decision-making, accompanies it throughout the process, and assesses its impact on people's lives. Inspired by this principle, the 'Al Tanmiya' podcast was launched to broaden this dialogue, providing a more accessible and in-depth platform to explain national development trajectories and connect strategic planning to implementation, as well as policies to the daily lives of people in the community."
He further noted that the 'Al Tanmiya' podcast reflects the Council's commitment to leveraging strategic communication to transform the NDS3 from a planning framework into a shared reality. He emphasized that the goal is to instill a sense of shared responsibility among individuals, institutions, and businesses, thereby enhancing active participation in the State of Qatar's comprehensive and sustainable development journey.
The podcast is scheduled to be released monthly with decision-makers from various entities. Discussions will track progress in implementation and highlight concrete achievements within institutional priorities, focusing on the practical application of policies and their impact on people's daily lives, with the aim of promoting informed participation and active citizenship in the national development journey.
The 'Al Tanmiya' podcast embodies a coordinated institutional approach, highlighting how government entities work together as a cohesive system. It demonstrates how institutions collaborate to achieve the outcomes of the NDS3, with the NPC acting as the coordinator of unified national action. The series aims to translate strategies into tangible results and sustain progress by objectively highlighting achievements, enhancing credibility, and building trust in the national system's capacity to deliver.
The public is invited to contribute to the dialogue by submitting their questions and comments for the guests via a dedicated online platform, available before each episode at: https://www.npc.qa/en/pages/altanmiya.aspx .
The launch of 'Al Tanmiya' also underscores the NPC's commitment to transparency and inclusivity in national development. By providing a direct channel for citizens, residents, and stakeholders to engage with policymakers, the podcast strengthens the feedback loop between the community and decision-makers, ensuring that the implementation of NDS3 remains responsive, participatory, and aligned with the evolving needs and aspirations of society.
