He was stunned when he received the award and searched for his parents and family in that moment of honor. The African-American actor shared that his loved ones had flown a long distance to celebrate with him.
B. Jordan expressed his gratitude for working with director Ryan Coogler and the film crew. He thanked the pioneering Black stars who laid the foundation for his success and shared his joy of victory with all the celebrities in the audience and viewers watching on screen.
