Malaysia reports 1,483 new COVID-19 infections, 3 more deaths

Kuala Lumpur [Malaysia], September 12: Malaysia reported 1,483 new COVID-19 infections, as of midnight Sunday, bringing the national total to 4,805,107, according to the health ministry.
There are two new imported cases, with 1,481 cases being local transmissions, data released on the ministry's website showed.
Another three deaths have been reported, pushing the death toll to 36,280. The ministry reported 2,090 new recoveries, bringing the total number of cured and discharged to 4,742,488.
There are 26,339 active cases, with 68 being held in intensive care and 48 of those in need of assisted breathing.
