Iran has more than 10 scenarios to respond to an Israeli attack

Oct 08, 2024

Tehran [Iran], October 8: The Iranian military has prepared 'at least 10 scenarios' to respond to an attack from Israel, according to Tasnim News Agency citing information from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
Iran launched a series of missiles into Israeli territory on October 1, attacking a series of military bases in what Tehran said was retaliation for Tel Aviv's assassination of Hamas and Hezbollah leaders. Israel announced it had retaliated.
Tasnim reported on October 7 that the IRGC has prepared at least 10 scenarios to respond to any military action by Israel.
"Iran's response will not necessarily be similar to the level of Israel's actions, but it can be more intense and aimed at different targets allowing to increase the effectiveness of the response," Tasnim quoted an Iranian military source as saying.
The source said that because Israel's territory is significantly smaller than Iran's, with less and more sensitive infrastructure, an Iranian retaliation could cause unprecedented trouble for the enemy.
The source also warned that any country that supports Israel in carrying out the attack should know that they will cross Iran's red lines and will suffer losses.
The warning was clearly aimed at the United States, which is working with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's administration to prepare for an Israeli response.
Last week, Tehran sent a message to Washington through Qatar that Iran had always exercised restraint and that enough was enough.
