International translation conference starts in Doha

Doha [Qatar], December 12: The 10th International Conference on Translation and Problems of Interculturalisation kicked off in Doha on Monday with the participation of about 120 researchers, translators and academics from worldwide.
The two-day event is organised by the Forum of Arabic and International Relations (FAIR).
Director of FAIR Dr Mohammed Hamid Al Ahmari said in his opening speech that the conference has been able to solve many of the problems related to translation issues during the past period, and it also contributed to achieving communication between translators from different languages of the world to represent a bridge for dialogue and understanding between cultures.
He added that the culture reached through agreement and communication helps in issues of peace and justice throughout the world.
