New York [US], May 25: UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres today said that the International Court of Justice's rulings are "binding".
The ICJ on Friday ordered Israel to immediately halt its military attack on Rafah, Southern Gaza.
"The Secretary General recalls that ...decisions of the International Court of Justice are binding, and he trusts that the parties will duly comply with the order from the court," UN Chief's spokesman, Stephane Dujarric, told the reporters.
Guterres will also properly transmit the notice of provisional measures ordered by the Court to the Security Council, Dujarric added.
