Hamas and Israel trade accusations over Gaza ceasefire breaches

Gaza City [Gaza], May 24: The Hamas group in the Gaza Strip has accused Israel of violating the terms of their ceasefire agreement through recent military operations in the Palestinian territory.
Hamas spokesman Hasem Qassem said on Saturday that Israeli strikes on residential buildings in Gaza and the resulting displacement of civilians contradicted the terms of the truce.
Israel and Hamas have frequently accused each other of breaching the ceasefire that has been in place since October 2025. The Israeli military said on X that "several terrorists" had been killed in two separate incidents on Friday.
