Gunman at large after killing 1 at U.S. university dormitory

Houston [Austin], July 26: A gunman who fatally shot one person and injured another at a dormitory complex at the University of New Mexico in the U.S. city of Albuquerque early Friday remains at large, authorities said.
The shooter may still be on campus, police warned.
It was not immediately clear if the victims were students.
In the aftermath of the shooting, the University of New Mexico announced on social media that its central campus was locked down "out of an abundance of caution," urging students to shelter in place.
About 22,000 students are enrolled in the University of New Mexico, which is a public university.
