Five injured in anti-migrant riot in small Spanish town Madrid

Madrid [Spain], July 14: Police presence was set to be ramped up in the sleepy Spanish town of Torre-Pacheco after five people were injured in far-right clashes targeting migrants, the central government said on Sunday. One person has since been arrested, Mariola Guevara, the government's representative in the Murcia region, told state broadcaster RTVE. A group of suspected right-wingers gathered in the town of some 40,000 overnight to attack migrants living in Torre-Pacheco. Police officers managed to prevent direct confrontation between the two groups, Mayor Pedro Ángel Roca said.
