Collision between train and bus kills at least 12 people in Bangladesh

Dhaka [Bangladesh], March 23: At least twelve people have died in a collision between a passenger train and a bus in Bangladesh, media outlets reported on Sunday.
Many people were injured in the collision in the district of Cumilla, east of Dhaka. The train crashed into the bus at an unsupervised railway crossing in the district of Kumilla during the night, the Daily Star newspaper reported, citing officials.
The train reportedly dragged the bus several hundred metres before coming to a halt. Images from the state broadcaster BTV showed a destroyed bus. There was no railway guard at the crossing at the time of the accident. Railway Minister Habibur Rashid has ordered an investigation into the incident. (DPA)
