Brunei to hold Islamic calligraphy festival

Bandar Seri Begawan [Brunei], October 9: The International Islamic Calligraphy Festival is set to be held in Brunei from Oct. 16 to 18, local media reported on Wednesday.
The event will take place at the International Convention Center (ICC) in Bandar Seri Begawan, capital of Brunei, featuring several activities including an opening ceremony, a keynote address, and a prize presentation, according to local media Borneo Bulletin.
The festival will also include an International Islamic Calligraphy Exhibition, paper presentations, workshops, and a spontaneous calligraphy competition. The event attracted 158 participants from 19 countries and regions.
