Belarus exports 6 mln tonnes of dairy products in 2024

Minsk [Belarus], February 22: Belarus exported 6 million tonnes of milk and dairy products to 69 countries in 2024, Belarusian First Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister Alexander Lomsky said at the Dairy Farm Forum held on Friday in Minsk.
The dairy export growth rate increased by 11.5 percent in terms of volume and by 17.8 percent in terms of value in 2024, the official said.
The share of dairy products in the total food exports amounted to 40.3 percent. Lomsky stressed Belarus was still among the top exporters of dairy products in the world.
Algeria, Mexico, Kuwait, Nigeria, Kenya and other countries have opened their markets to Belarusian dairy products. The official stressed that the Belarusian producers not only sought to develop new markets, but also to diversify the range of products.
