Dubai {UAE], March 1: An Iranian missile landed in a prestigious area on the artificial Palm Jumeirah island.
The area is home to luxurious hotels popular with Russian tourists.
Abu Dhabi says civilian killed in Iranian strike
As several Gulf countries confirm strikes by Iranian missiles on their territory, state media in the United Arab Emirates have reported one civilian death in a residential area caused by falling debris.
The Emirati state news agency WAM said the Iranian strike, which was reportedly repelled along with a second wave of missiles, also caused material damage.
Like a number of other Gulf countries, Abu Dhabi hosts US troops - the Al Dhafra Air Base is home to the US 380th Air Expeditionary Wing.
The UAE said it had temporarily closed its airspace as a precaution.

Chandigarh [India], August 29: At a time when 80% of water supplied to households in India is released as wastewater even as over 60 crore people in the country are facing severe water crisis due to extreme groundwater over-extraction, erratic monsoons and rapid urbanisation, a team of Chandigarh University (CU) researchers has conceived and patented an innovative wastewater filtering device designed to provide a two-stage treatment for kitchen wastewater before it enters the drainage system, while also enabling collection of the filtered water for suitable domestic uses including gardening, irrigation and outdoor-area cleaning, thus reducing the demand for fresh potable water.
