Al Hamriyah Port fire contained with no injuries reported

Sharjah [UAE], June 1: In an instant and coordinated emergency response, the Sharjah Police General Command, in collaboration with the Sharjah Civil Defence Authority and national support teams, continues to manage firefighting operations at Al Hamriyah Port. The fire, which involved highly flammable materials, broke out earlier today, Saturday. Fortunately, no human injuries have been reported.
The incident triggered the immediate activation of a unified response system, integrating efforts from Civil Defense units across the Emirates, the Ministry of Defence, the National Guard, Joint Aviation, and the municipalities of Sharjah and Al Hamriyah. The goal is to contain the fire and limit its impact, ensuring safety and operational efficiency.
Major General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police and Chairman of the Local Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster Management Team in Sharjah, confirmed the absence of casualties. He emphasised that fire suppression efforts remain ongoing, with a clear focus on safeguarding lives and property.
Specialised units continue to combat the blaze using advanced firefighting equipment and safety protocols. Authorities have urged the public to stay informed via official sources and to avoid spreading misinformation.
