Jordan voices appreciation to Gulf states' support

Amman (Jordan), January 26: Jordan on Tuesday voiced appreciation to the Gulf states' support to the country and expressed keenness to boost cooperation between the two sides.
The remarks were made by Jordan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi at a meeting in Amman with Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) Nayef Falah Al-Hajraf who visited Jordan to discuss activating the dialogue between Jordan and the GCC countries.
The two officials discussed cooperation priorities in the next stage, including the sectors of health, agriculture, food security and transportation, in addition to trade and investment, in preparation for a foreign ministers' meeting between the two sides.
Safadi expressed appreciation for the supportive stance of the Gulf countries towards Jordan's development.
Underlining that the security of the Gulf countries and Jordan is indivisible, both sides agreed on intensifying cooperation and coordination.
Focusing on the economic and health challenges caused by the spread of the coronavirus, they stressed the importance of joint international efforts to combat its repercussions.
