"Politicians' favorability" Oh Se-hoon 41%, Hong JoonPyo 40% and Lee Jae-myung 34%

Seoul [South Korea], September 19: In a survey on the favorability of major political figures from the ruling and opposition parties, Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon of the People Power Party ranked first with 41% and Daegu Mayor Hong JoonPyo ranked second with 40%. Lee Jae-myung, representative of the Democratic Party of Korea won 34%, and former representative Lee Nak-yeon won 27%. The favorability of the supporters of each political party was different depending on political figures.
According to a favorability survey conducted by Gallup Korea on 1,000 adults from September 13 to 15, YooSeung Min followed with 30%, Justice Minister Han Dong-hoon with 28%, Lee Nak-yeon and AhnCheol Soo with 27%, and Lee Joon-seok with 24%.
The favorability of major political figures was generally high among the supporters of their parties and low in the supporters of their opponents.
Mayor Oh Se-hoon of the People Power Party showed 74% favorability among supporters of the People Power Party while showed 72% non-favorability among supporters of the Democratic Party. Mayor Hong JoonPyo showed 59% favorability among supporters and 65% non-favorability among opponents.
Lee Jae-myung, representative of the Democratic Party of Korea, received 73% favorability from supporters and 89% non-favorability from opponents. He also showed 63% favorability in supporters of liberal parties, and 82% non-favorability in supporters of conservative parties, showing most distinct difference.
On the other hand, there were also relatively independent indicators in the supporters of the political parties and ideological tendencies.
YooSeung Min, the former lawmaker of People Power Party, received only 25% from the supporters of his party, but 37% from the supporters of the Democratic Party. Former representative of People Power Lee Joon-seok also received 65% non-favorability from supporters of his party, far ahead of 28% favorability.
Former Democratic Party representative Lee Nak-yeon showed 29% favorability and 62% non-favorability among Democratic Party supporters. Among the respondents who showed favor toward Lee Jae-myung, only 30% of them also showed favor toward former leader Lee Nak-yeon.
AhnCheol Soo of the People Power Party was relatively even with 47% favorability and 42% non-favorability. However, he received 86% % non-favorability from the Democratic Party supporters.
